A genetically engineered herpes virus, can be successfully used to treat cancer. In a study lasting 34 days in animals, this new virus reduced tumor growth up to 8 times higher than the older treatments. Specifically, after only one treatment, the tumor had completely disappeared in 40% of test cases.
