The Cuban health authorities have introduced the first vaccine for the treatment of malignant lung cancer to all the hospitals in this country.
Pedro Pablo Guerra, researchers from the Center for Clinical Trials Partnership countries Cuba, confirmed vaccine called CIMAVAX EGF, is intended for people with malignant lung cancer stage 3 and 4 - News that patients no longer respond to conventional cancer therapy and pain medications have in place.
"Bringing these important drugs to patients who need them is one of the main objectives of the Community Health Cuba," he said.
According to Xinhua , the drug is in Phase 4 of the trial. It has proven to improve efficiency and quality of life of patients with lung cancer, experts said.
This is the only registered vaccine in the world for the treatment of malignant lung cancer.
Guerra said the vaccine will undergo a trial period in the hospital again. This is a product to be officially registered, although some countries have now recognized.
CIMAVAX EGF vaccine was introduced at the International Congress of Pharmacy Times Wednesday, just ended in Hanava. More than 450 experts from many countries around the world attended.
