Distributed computing will rid the world of AIDS


Volunteers will be able to download the software on their machines that perform a certain portion of the total computing time when the computer is it.

A similar principle scientific problem solving is not new. Suffice it to recall a project to search for alien signals ( SETI ) project, or for the prediction of global climate change ( Climate Predictions ).

But the World Community Grid requires to use a huge number of vehicles (many millions) to address the most pressing contemporary issues.

Genetic research on AIDS, Alzheimer's disease and cancer; calculations forecasts of natural disasters, in addition, scientists want to calculate the genetic structure of the proteins responsible for a number of diseases.
