What are the risk factors?

Advanced age, male sex, sports, trauma and repetitive injuries, a moist, certain diseases (osteoarticular diseases, diabetes, obesity, peripheral vascular disease, psoriasis ...).

Indeed, treatment is long (often more than six months), because the nail grows very slowly.
