Skin cancer: Melanoma
So far the campaigns have been focused on melanoma, a skin cancer that develops from melano cytes, cells that produce the pigment melanin. Hence the importance of protection from exposure to sunlight. This cancer of the skin as severe, which often reaches young subjects it is important to detect as soon as possible so they can heal as it causes metastases may be difficult to treat. Thus we are all invited to observe regularly every inch of our skin and that of our family, searching for clues to the suspicion of a melanoma mole that grows, changes shape, becomes asymmetric irregular borders, fades in the center, causing bleeding or itching.
