what is marketing is marketing Research?
These days the markets are flooded with products and services from a large number of companies. The buyers have become choosy. While buying they are affected by the opinions of their friends, the prodding’s of their kids and the dotingly fond talk of their wives. Besides, they see glittering advertisements in glossy magazines, view enchantingly beautiful models using the products on the small TV screen, and once inside the shop are advised by the well-meaning dealers and distributors. There are people who love freedom, some who love adventure, and some an aristocratic life-style. People show negative attitudes for certain products (like vegetarians showing aversion to eggs and show positive attitudes to some other products like jeans, jogging and lip-sticks. We have buyers scattered all over the country, at times abroad also. In other words, these days marketing has become a specialized activity which keeps the buyer or consumer in the center while designing a product mix.
